Christopher Leitch

Christopher Leitch is an award winning writer, director, executive producer and producer of films, television and other media related projects. He has participated in the development and production of over one hundred hours of network and cable television series; nine feature length screenplays (three produced, including ‘Universal Soldier’ which has grossed over $100 million theatrically and spawned four sequels), and twenty Movies of the Week, as director and producer, for network and cable television. Mr. Leitch has been awarded, Best First Feature from the Miami International Film Festival (‘The Hitter’), Best Industrial Film from the San Juan International Film Festival, the Film Advisory Award for his feature, ‘Courage Mountain’, the cable ACE award for writing a dramatic television series, ‘The Hitchhiker’ on HBO, and a 2001 ALMAS award for the television movie, ‘The Elian Gonzalez Story’.

In 2010 – 2011, Mr. Leitch developed a one-hour pilot as writer/co-executive producer for ABC Family, entitled ‘HEALER’. Also, in 2010, Mr. Leitch directed ‘Miami Medical’, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for CBS/Warner Bros. TV and the original Lifetime Movie, ‘Secrets in the Walls’. For the last three seasons, Mr. Leitch has directed ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ starring William Peterson and Laurence Fishbourne, as well as the critically acclaimed series for A&E, ‘The Beast’, starring the late Patrick Swayze.

Currently, Christopher Leitch is in development as co-creator/executive producer with Allan Marcil, Jon Karas, Michael Uslan, David Uslan and Clayton Frohman on an international dramatic television series, “The Far Side of the Sky”, based on the best selling trilogy of historical novels by Daniel Kalla.

Chris Leitch attended NYU Undergraduate Film School where his senior thesis directorial short film, ‘First Paintings’ received the Best Dramatic Film in the NYU Student Film Festival. After leaving NYU, Christopher Leitch then apprenticed with the Academy Award winning Czechoslovakian director Jan Kadar on the feature ‘Lies My Father Told Me’, as well as two television series and one TV movie. Mr. Leitch has also had the good fortune to work with multiple Academy, Emmy and Grammy award-winning artists both in front of and behind the camera.
